These sculptures are made from salvaged burl wood from the Pacific North West and the natural voids have been inlaid with different types of minerals and gem stones. The sculptures are modeled on various mineral geometries and classic lapidary forms and the burlwood pieces balance on their driftwood bases with magnets.
I upload my newest inventory to the website after each show. So, if you visited me at the Fremont Fare in Seattle this summer then you might have seen this piece.
This pinecone sculpture is shaped into an egg form and inlaid with Turquoise. There is also an Opal set in the hollow void at top of the core.
