These sculptures are made from salvaged burl wood from the Pacific North West and the natural voids have been inlaid with different types of minerals and gem stones. The sculptures are modeled on various mineral geometries and classic lapidary forms and the burlwood pieces balance on their driftwood bases with magnets.
I upload my newest inventory to the website after each show. So, if you visited me at the Anacortes Arts Festval this summer then you might have seen this piece.
