This sculpture is made to depict a quartz formation using Manzanita Burl, inlaid with stone, with the pieces balancing on a driftwood base. Each Manzanita piece is hand faceted into quartz points, with all the natural pattern voids inlaid with a blue turquoise and a green stone we found hiking in Central Oregon (we call it 'Oregon Green Stone'). Each piece then has a magnet set into it with a corresponding magnet in the base. The orientation of poles of the magnets make some of the pieces in this sculpture interchangeable. This feature makes for several different ways to feature the piece.
